Victorian Ball Gown 1860 “Sara” Green The dress is CUSTOM MADE in midnight blue taffeta, with a black lace and beaded appliqué and finished with black beaded trimmings.

The bodice of this historical costume is stiffened with 10 steel bones sewn inside.
The classic pointed shape (both front and back) is finished in the edge and at the seams by a cord covered with blue satin bias. The upper part is enriched with a lace application in the front and finished with black passementerie gathered organza with beads in the neckline. The balloon sleeves are decorated with passementerie in the lower edge.

The closure is made of eyelets and ribbon. In addition, there is a modesty panel of the same color as the dress, in order not to see the underlying part, in case the bodice does not close perfectly. In this manner, even if your measurements should change slightly over time, you will still be able to wear your dress.

In the 1860 Victorian Ball Gown “Sara”, the classic heart shape of the era is created by two additional paddings placed inside the bodice at the side of the bust.
There are also four hook and eye clasps that allow you to secure the bodice to the skirt so that it does not move.

To make moving easier, in case you use the dress for historical dance shows, you can insert an OPTIONAL elastic at the shoulder.

The skirt is gathered in pleats around the waist with a V insert in the back, this would lengthen the skirt into a train if desired. (Optional)
